Solar watches, solar heating, solar cars ... in the ultra high-tech realm, harnessing the sun's energy is still the stuff of enviros with the will and means to go green.

But a decidedly low-tech version of sun-wrangling - solar cookers - has been targeted to bring relief to refugees around the world.

With little more than a special crock pot and some reflective material, State Department officials say refugee families can slow-cook their meals without having to forage for fuel or inhale toxic smoke. FRITZ FAERBER reports in this asap video.
